Here we provide some of our thinking about techniques for catching wild trout, focusing principally on what’s different about small stream fishing. It's targeted at the intermediate to experienced fly fisherman who has limited experience on small streams.
We felt a chapter format was more useful than a bunch of web pages, so we've provided this information in a series of PDF files. These files are neither comprehensive nor authoritative, but we hope it will accelerate your learning curve. They're based on my own dozen or so years’ experience fishing small streams. I don’t consider myself an authority, just someone who has learned a fair amount by trial and error, and remembers a few of the things I’ve found helpful along the way.
