Class A Wild Trout Streams are defined by the PA Fish and Boat Commission by trout biomass: specifically streams supporting more than 40kg/hectare (if dominated by Brown or Rainbow Trout) or 30kg/hectare (if dominated by Brook Trout).
This KMZ maps all of the Class A streams in the state. Click on a stream segment to view its attributes. The thickest lines show streams with at least one mile of public frontage; middle thickness plots streams with some public access but less than 1 mile; thinnest are streams with no public access noted in the database. The balloon also lets you know the type of fishery, which is usually Brown or Brook Trout.
