Connecticut Wild Trout Streams - Clickmap

This page has been preserved from the 2006 site, to allow you to download topo maps of the 28 WTS using the click map.  We have added an interactive map of these sames streams on Google Maps, which you can access via the "CT WTMA Interactive Map" link on the CT Resources Menu in the sidebar.  You can also download a KMZ file of these same points to load into Google Earth with the link  "Download KMZ: CT WTMA".

Connecticut lists 28 Wild Trout Management Areas (WTMAs).  Nine are classified as Category 1 (blue icons): "Abundant wild trout.  No trout stocking.  Catch and release only, no closed season."  Two are Category 2 (green icons): "Some wild trout and stocked trout.  Reduced creel limit (2) and higher minimum length (12")."  Seventeen are Category 3 (red icons): "Some wild trout and stocked trout.  Higher minimum length limit (9")."

Click on the icon to view a topographic map of the stream.  The resolution of the topo map is higher than it appears in a browser.  Right click and save the file on your local computer.  You can either print it on high quality (photo-glossy) paper, or view the map in a better photo viewer.

You can also find a list of these streams and other resources in the "CT Resources" menu in the sidebar.
