Shenandoah Park South
Shenandoah National Park provides some of the premiere brook trout habitat, not only in Virginia, but also for much of the east coast, excepting parts of northern New England and upstate New York.

Because the park is a pilgrimage site for many wild trout fishermen, and the streams are so widely covered in many guidebooks, we've provided extensive mapping of the major drainages in the park. However, do keep in mind that most of the other wild trout streams in Virginia are also on Federal land, and receive much less fishing pressure than in the park. Maps of the wild trout areas can be downloaded from the Virginia Resources Menu in the sidebar.
Click on the fish icons in the map below for a topo map of each drainage.
